This program is designed to teach students the knowledge and skills necessary for entry level employment in a variety of health care settings as a medical coder/biller who performs insurance processing and medical coding functions.
Interpret medical documentation as it relates to the major structures, functions, and pathologies of body systems. Assigning ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses, procedures, and medical services as part of the insurance reimbursement process.
